| Beschrijving keerzijde | A single upright cornucopiae, abundantly filled with fruits and foliage overflowing from its mouth, occupies the central field. The horn of plenty is tied near its base with a fillet, the ends of which fall to either side. The legend L·MVSSIDIVS LONGVS is disposed in two vertical lines flanking the central device to left and right, identifying Lucius Mussidius Longus, the moneyer responsible for this issue. The entire design is enclosed within a uniform border of raised dots, consistent with the careful die-cutting characteristic of late Republican gold coinage. |
