| Obverse description | Bare-necked, laureate head of Emperor Licinius facing right, rendered in high relief with strong naturalistic modelling typical of Tetrarchic portraiture. The laurel wreath is rendered with carefully detailed individual leaves bound at the brow, framing a stern, mature imperial visage. The obverse legend encircles the portrait in a continuous band within a beaded border. The effigy is executed in the robust, slightly stylized manner characteristic of the Nicomedia mint during the early fourth century. |

| Reverse description | A winged, draped Victory stands facing, her head turned to the right, placing an inscribed votive shield upon a decorated column with both hands. The shield bears the vow inscription VOT X MVL XX, commemorating the decennial vows of the emperors. The reverse legend VICTORIAE AVGG NN encircles the scene within a beaded border, while the mint mark and officina letter appear in the exergue below. The composition is dynamic yet formally balanced, consistent with the high-quality gold coinage of the Nicomedia mint in this period. |
