Opis rewersu	The emperor Hadrian depicted as an equestrian figure, galloping to the right on a prancing horse, his military cloak (paludamentum) billowing behind him as he couches a spear horizontally in his right hand. The composition evokes imperial military authority and the adventus tradition. The legend COS III PP appears in the exergue below the horse, set within a beaded border that frames the field. The bold, dynamic relief of the horse and rider is characteristic of the high-quality die work of the Roman mint under Hadrian.
