Beschrijving voorzijde Confronted busts of Hadrian and Trajan, both laureate and cuirassed, with Hadrian depicted in the foreground to the left and Trajan slightly behind to the right, rendered in high relief with exceptional sculptural quality characteristic of early Hadrianic coinage. Hadrian's draped and cuirassed effigy faces right, his curly beard and distinctive laureate wreath rendered in fine detail, while Trajan's mature profile appears over his left shoulder. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP CAES TRAIAN HADRIANO OPT AVG G D PART, distributed around the entire circumference of the flan. This rare double-portrait composition was employed to legitimize Hadrian's succession by visually associating him with his deified predecessor.

Beschrijving keerzijde Bare-headed and laureate bust of Divus Trajan facing right, depicted draped and cuirassed, rendered in bold high relief with the characteristic strong jaw and mature features of Trajan's portrait tradition. The paludamentum is fastened at the right shoulder and falls in deeply cut folds, conveying the emperor's military authority even in his posthumous deified state. The encircling legend DIVO TRAIANO PATRI is distributed around the periphery of the flan, affirming Trajan's consecration and his role as adoptive father of Hadrian. The field is smooth and unadorned, directing full attention to the commanding portrait effigy at center.
