| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Augustus facing left, rendered in the refined Hellenistic portrait style characteristic of early Augustan coinage. The hair is depicted with fine, naturalistically modeled strands swept forward beneath a wreath of bay leaves adorned with berries, consistent with the imperial laureate convention. The portrait displays a youthful idealized physiognomy with delicate facial features, a hallmark of the Augustan aesthetic programme. A beaded border frames the flan along the upper periphery.
