Obverse description Central field bearing a stylized depiction of a castle or tower rendered in bold, crude strokes characteristic of hammered Crimean coinage. The fortress motif is surrounded by a circular Latin legend, partially legible on this irregularly shaped flan. The overall composition is typical of Genoese-influenced civic coinage struck at Kaffa during the mid-fifteenth century.

Reverse description Central field displaying Arabic inscription in a bold, angular hand typical of Crimean Khanate hammered coinage of the Hajji Girai period. The legend, occupying the majority of the flan, records the name and titles of the issuing authority. The irregular flan and variable strike are consistent with mid-fifteenth century production at the Kaffa mint.
