| Description de l’avers | Genoese castellated tower (castle) depicted in high relief at center, enclosed within a dotted inner circle. The castle features a prominent gateway with flanking turrets, characteristic of Genoese civic heraldry as used on the coinage of Caffa. A partial Latin legend surrounds the motif in the outer field, rendered in uncial characters. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hammered production of the period. |

| Description du revers | Central field occupied by a Tatar tamgha, the dynastic heraldic device of the ruling Khan, rendered in bold strokes within a circular boundary. The tamgha is surrounded by an Arabic legend in the outer zone, recording the name and titles of Dawlat Berdi Khan in the cursive script typical of Crimean Khanate coinage of the early fifteenth century. The design reflects the bicultural nature of Caffan coinage, combining Genoese civic authority on the obverse with Tatar suzerainty acknowledged on the reverse. Strike is typical of hammered issues, with some weakness at the periphery. |
