The inscriptions contain additional elements of the religious legend and the sultan's regnal titles, arranged in three to four lines across the flan. The hammered planchet displays characteristic surface irregularities and slight flan weakness at the margins. No border or decorative element frames the legends. The calligraphic execution is bold and characteristic of the Cairo mint output during the brief reign of al-Zahir Timurbugha. |
