| Obverse description | Irregular square brass weight of the abrammuo geometric type, produced by the lost-wax (cire perdue) casting technique. The field is divided by raised linear ridges forming a cruciform grid pattern, with horizontal parallel striations filling each quadrant, evoking a stylised architectural or textile motif. At the centre, a prominent raised spiral or volute device — likely an Adinkra-derived symbol — projects from the junction of the vertical and horizontal dividing lines. The surfaces display the characteristic roughness and slight irregularity inherent to hand-finished sand or clay mould casting, with a dark bronze-brown patina consistent with age and use. |
