Obverse description Bare laureate head of Emperor Tiberius facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair bound by a laurel wreath. The portrait displays the characteristic strong jaw and aquiline features associated with Tiberian provincial portraiture. A circular Latin legend encircles the effigy reading TI CAESAR DIVI AVGVSTI F AVGVSTVS, identifying the emperor as son of the deified Augustus. The field is smooth with a slightly irregular flan edge typical of hammered provincial bronze coinage.
