| Beschrijving keerzijde | Bare radiate head of the deified Augustus facing right, the radiating crown of solar spikes symbolising his divine status following his posthumous consecration. The effigy is rendered in the idealised manner befitting an imperial divus, consistent with the Augustan iconographic tradition perpetuated under Tiberius. The surrounding legend reads DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER with the mint abbreviation C T T (Colonia Triumphalis Tarraco) completing the legend in the field or exergual area. Surface corrosion and heavy wear obscure fine detail, though the radiate crown and general portrait composition remain identifiable. |
