| 裏面の説明 | A winged, draped figure of Victory strides dynamically to the left, her wings spread and her drapery flowing behind her in the movement. She holds with both hands a large oval shield, upon which the letters S P Q R (Senatus Populusque Romanus) are inscribed, presenting it as a votive offering. The senatorial authorization mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appears in the field, divided to either side of the central figure. The composition reflects the Augustan allegorical tradition of Victory as a symbol of imperial legitimacy and military triumph, rendered in confident relief appropriate to large bronze denominations of the Neronian period. |
