The Untikesken gens issued coinage from Emporion — the Greek colonial settlement on the northeastern Iberian coast — during a period when the city was navigating the competing pressures of Roman administrative consolidation and residual Iberian cultural identity. These bronzes circulated in a region where Iberian script, Greek commercial networks, and Roman military presence overlapped in ways that produced genuinely hybrid monetary culture.
