| Obverse description | Radiate head of the deified Augustus facing left, rendered with naturalistic portrait detail typical of early Julio-Claudian coinage. A small eight-pointed star appears in the upper left field above the head, referencing Augustus's divine status. Before the portrait, a caduceus or scepter is depicted vertically in the left field. The surrounding circular legend reads DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The overall style reflects the restrained classicism of Tiberian-era official portraiture. |

The restrained, formal rendering of the seated figure is characteristic of Tiberian bronze coinage struck at the Rome mint. |
