| Mô tả mặt sau | Full frontal cult statue of Artemis Ephesia (Diana Ephesia) standing upright on a low base, depicted in the canonical xoanon form with the body tightly wrapped in a decorated garment covered with multiple rows of ovoids or egg-shaped pendants representing her fertility attributes. The goddess wears a mural crown or kalathos on her head, and her forearms are extended horizontally to each side. Flanking columns or elaborate supports with hanging drapery are visible on either side of the figure, faithfully reproducing the famous cult image housed in the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus. The legend DIANA EPHESIA is divided in two lines across the field, one word to each side of the figure. |
