The empress is depicted with drapery visible at the truncation of the bust. The encircling Greek legend reads ΙΟΥΛΙΑ ΔΟΜΝΑ ϹΕΒ, identifying her as Augusta. |

The composition follows the canonical Alexandrian Athena type associated with regnal year datings of the Severan period. The date formula L - Β (regnal year 2, corresponding to 193-194 AD) appears divided in the field to either side of the goddess. |
