| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered as seen from the rear, with the paludamentum and cuirass visible over the left shoulder. The portrait displays Hadrian's characteristic short curly beard and laureate wreath, executed in the fine Alexandrian style. The surrounding legend in Greek characters reads ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΑΙ ΑΔΡΙΑ ϹΕΒ, identifying the emperor as Autocrator Caesar Traianus Hadrianus Sebastos. The flan is bordered by a beaded inner circle typical of Alexandrian tetradrachm coinage. |

The surrounding legend ϹΑΒΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ identifies the empress, while the regnal date L ΙΓ (Year 13) in the left field dates the issue to the 13th year of Hadrian's reign (128–129 AD).
