Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander facing right, depicted from behind with the cuirass and paludamentum clearly visible. The emperor's portrait is rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style, with a wreath of laurel encircling the head. The Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan.

She holds a long rudder in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left arm, emblematic of the city's fortune and prosperity.
