A simpulum (ritual ladle) appears to the left of the figure in the field, and a captive or fallen enemy is indicated at lower left. The reverse legend ΚΡΑΤΗΣΙΣ is inscribed in the field, identifying the allegorical personification in keeping with the Alexandrian mint's Hellenistic iconographic tradition. |
