Reverse description The personification of Kratesis (Victory/Dominion) stands facing left, rendered as a draped female figure holding a small Nike (winged Victory) in her outstretched right hand and a tall military trophy in her left. A simpulum (ritual ladle) appears to the left of the figure in the field, and a captive or fallen enemy is indicated at lower left. The reverse legend ΚΡΑΤΗΣΙΣ is inscribed in the field, identifying the allegorical personification in keeping with the Alexandrian mint's Hellenistic iconographic tradition.
