| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered in the Alexandrian provincial style. The imperial effigy displays a wreath of laurel leaves on the head, with short-cropped hair visible beneath. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor in his full titulature, reading around the periphery of the flan. The regnal year date L Β (Year 2) appears in the lower right field, a characteristic feature of Alexandrian coinage used to establish chronological placement within Galba's reign. |

| Reverse description | Standing full-length figure of Eleutheria (Liberty personified), depicted facing left in a relaxed contrapposto pose, draped in a flowing chiton and himation. In her extended right hand she holds a wreath, while her left arm rests upon a tall column and grasps a long sceptre or caduceus. To the left of the central figure, a six-pointed or eight-rayed star occupies the field, serving as an additional symbolic device. The legend ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ is inscribed around the periphery, identifying the allegorical figure and reflecting the political message of liberty proclaimed at the outset of Galba's accession. |
