The deity holds a reed in one hand and a large cornucopia in the other, from which a small Genius figure emerges holding a wreath. A crocodile, emblematic of the Nile, climbs the rocks beneath him. The date regnal formula L ΚΑ (Year 21) appears in the field, corresponding to the 21st year of Antoninus Pius's reign (157–158 AD). The composition reflects the distinctively Egyptian iconographic tradition of Alexandrian tetradrachm coinage. |
