| Beschrijving keerzijde | Sarapis standing facing, head turned to the right, holding a taenia (fillet or sceptre) in his right hand. Flanking him on either side stand the Dioscuri (Castor and Pollux), each crowned with a star-topped pileus, facing forward with heads turned toward Sarapis, and each holding a whip. The composition emphasises the divine triad venerated in Alexandria, with the figures rendered in a frontal hieratic style. The regnal date L Κ (year 20, corresponding to 156–157 AD) appears in the field. |
