The laureate wreath is clearly articulated with fine engraving, and the portrait displays the characteristic strong features of Trajan. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ ΤΡΑΙΑΝ ϹΕΒ ΓΕΡΜ ΔΑΚΙΚ, abbreviating his imperial titles of Autokrator, Sebastos, Germanicus, and Dacicus.
