The regnal year legend L - Ε (Year 5) is placed in the field, flanking the central type, dating the issue to the fifth regnal year of Philip I (247–248 AD). The reverse composition reflects the characteristic blending of Roman imperial and Egyptian religious iconography found on Alexandrian coinage. |
