| Opis rewersu | Eagle standing to the left with head turned to the right, holding a wreath in its beak, a common reverse type for Alexandrian tetradrachms of the Gordian III era. The eagle is rendered in the typical provincial style, with wings closed and tail feathers visible. To either side of the eagle appear the date letters L (regnal year symbol) and Ε (numeral 5), denoting Year 5 of Gordian III's reign, corresponding to 241–242 AD. The field is plain, and the overall style is consistent with the Alexandrian mint's output of this period. |
