| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Valerian II as Caesar facing right, depicted with youthful features in the Alexandrian provincial style. The cuirass is visible at the shoulder, and the drapery falls across the chest. The encircling Greek legend reads Π ΛΙΚ ΚΟΡ ΟΥΑΛΕΡΙΑΝΟϹ ΚΑΙϹ ϹΕΒ, identifying the prince as P(ublius) Licinius Cornelius Valerianus Caesar Augustus. The flan is slightly irregular, as is characteristic of Alexandrian tetradrachms of the mid-third century. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | An eagle stands facing left with its head turned sharply to the right, holding a wreath in its beak, rendered in the bold, somewhat schematic style characteristic of Alexandrian tetradrachms. The wings are folded and the tail feathers are spread upon the ground line. To the lower left appears the regnal date symbol L (year), and to the upper right the Greek numeral Δ (4), together reading year 4 of the joint reign, corresponding to 256–257 AD. The field is otherwise plain. |
