| Opis rewersu | Eagle standing to the left with head turned right and wings spread, holding a wreath in its beak, flanked on either side by a military standard. A star appears in the upper field above the eagle. The regnal year date L Δ (year 4) is inscribed in the field, corresponding to the fourth year of Aurelian's reign in the Alexandrian calendar. This reverse type is characteristic of the Alexandrian billon tetradrachm coinage and reflects the blending of Roman imperial and Egyptian provincial iconographic traditions. |
