| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Aurelian facing right, rendered in the three-quarter frontal perspective characteristic of Alexandrian tetradrachms of this period. The emperor is depicted bearded, wearing a radiate or laurel crown and military cuirass, with paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The Greek imperial legend encircles the portrait, reading Α Κ Λ ΔΟΜ ΑΥΡΗΛΙΑΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ, identifying Aurelian as Augustus. The workmanship reflects the distinctive provincial style of the Alexandrian mint. |

| Reverse description | Eagle standing to the left with head turned right and wings spread, holding a wreath in its beak, flanked on either side by a military standard. A star appears in the upper field above the eagle. The regnal year date L Δ (year 4) is inscribed in the field, corresponding to the fourth year of Aurelian's reign in the Alexandrian calendar. This reverse type is characteristic of the Alexandrian billon tetradrachm coinage and reflects the blending of Roman imperial and Egyptian provincial iconographic traditions. |
