| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, depicted with his characteristic short beard, rendered in the Greek provincial style. The effigy shows fine detail in the laurel wreath and hair treatment, consistent with Hadrianic portraiture of the mid-second century AD. The surrounding field carries a Greek imperial titulature legend reading from left to right around the periphery of the flan. The strike is slightly off-centre on an irregularly shaped flan, typical of provincial hammered coinage of the period. |
