| Beschrijving keerzijde | Jupiter, standing left and holding a long sceptre, presents a Victory on globe to Emperor Maximianus, who stands facing right, draped and cuirassed, receiving the emblem of victory in his outstretched right hand while holding a sceptre in his left. The composition symbolises the divine mandate granted to the emperor, a standard Tetrarchic iconographic program. The reverse legend CONCORDIA MILITVM — 'Harmony of the Soldiers' — appears in the field, with an officina letter (H) in the left field and the mint mark XXI in the exergue, denoting the Antioch mint and the silver standard of twenty parts copper to one part silver. |
