The composition symbolises the divine mandate granted to the emperor, a standard Tetrarchic iconographic program. The reverse legend CONCORDIA MILITVM — 'Harmony of the Soldiers' — appears in the field, with an officina letter (H) in the left field and the mint mark XXI in the exergue, denoting the Antioch mint and the silver standard of twenty parts copper to one part silver. |
