| Obverse description | Radiate, draped bust of Diocletian facing right, rendered in high relief with short beard and military paludamentum secured at the shoulder. The radiate crown, characteristic of the antoninianus denomination, is clearly articulated with multiple prongs. The portrait displays the strong, compact facial features typical of Tetrarchic artistic convention, with a square jaw and furrowed brow. The encircling Latin legend runs along the outer border from left to right. The coin shows patinated bronze surfaces with areas of green encrustation consistent with extended burial. |
