Reverse description An eagle standing facing left with wings spread, head turned, rendered in a simplified and debased barbarous style imitating the official CONSECRATIO reverse type issued posthumously in honor of Claudius II Gothicus. A partial, blundered legend is visible in the upper field, reading approximately CONSEC or a garbled approximation thereof, consistent with barbarous copying of the prototype. The overall execution is crude, with shallow relief and irregular die alignment. No exergue inscription is discernible.
