Beschrijving voorzijde Radiate and draped bust of Carausius facing right, rendered in the crude, stylised manner characteristic of barbarous imitations. The portrait shows the emperor with a radiate crown, the facial features simplified and somewhat degenerate in execution. The surrounding Latin legend reads CARAVSIVS AVG, partially preserved and irregularly spaced around the periphery. The flan is irregular and the overall die-work reflects the provincial, unofficial nature of the emission. Traces of an underlying host coin are visible beneath the overstruck design.

Beschrijving keerzijde The goddess Pax depicted standing facing left, rendered in a coarse barbarous style consistent with unofficial imitative production. She holds an olive branch in her extended right hand and a transverse sceptre or staff in her left, the standard iconographic attributes of the Pax type. The figure's drapery is summarily indicated, with details blurred by the overstrike and the crude engraving. The legend PAX AVG surrounds the figure in the field. The flat, irregular flan and weak strike betray the non-official character of the piece, with ghosting from the undertype visible in places.
