| Beschrijving voorzijde | Archangel Michael shown full-length, facing, wearing armour surmounted by a cross at the head and chest, actively thrusting a cross-tipped lance or sword downward to slay a dragon prostrate beneath his feet. The central device is enclosed within double pearled circles, between which the Latin legend is disposed around the full circumference of the flan. The overall style is characteristic of Low Countries hammered gold coinage of the mid-sixteenth century. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A sailing ship depicted in profile with a prominent mast bearing a large cross, from which the heraldic coat of arms of the Counts of Bergh is suspended or displayed; the count's initials appear divided to either side of the mast within the field. The composition follows the traditional angel-noble ship type widely adopted by Low Countries feudal mints. A Latin legend in uncial lettering encircles the device between the rim and the ship, identifying the issuer and denomination. |
