The facial features display the idealized Macedonian royal portrait style, with a strong jaw, slightly parted lips, and a well-modelled brow. The lion's gaping jaw rests upon the crown of the head, its teeth clearly delineated, while the pelt's folds frame the cheek and chin. A dotted border runs along the inner edge of the flan. |
