| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend arranged within a plain inner circle, enclosed by a dotted border running along the irregular periphery. The central field displays the sultan's name and lineage in three lines of flowing Naskh script, reading 'Murad son of Orhan, may God perpetuate his reign.' The script is boldly struck in raised relief against a flat field, characteristic of early Ottoman hammered coinage. The coin shows typical flan irregularity and slight striking weakness at the margins. |
