Reverse description Hammered reverse bearing a two-line Arabic mint and date inscription within the plain field. The upper line reads 'ضرب في كزلف' (struck in Gezlev), identifying the Crimean mint town of Gezlev (modern Yevpatoria). Below, the Hijri date ٩٩٦ (AH 996, corresponding to 1588 CE) is presented in Arabic numerals. The strike is characteristically off-centre and the flan edges are irregular, consistent with small hammered billon coinage of the Crimean Khanate. No decorative borders or additional devices appear.
