Obverse description Hammered silver flan of irregular, slightly clipped outline. The obverse bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in angular script occupying the central field, giving the sultan's name and titles: Sultan Ahmed ibn Mehmed Han. The legend is set within a plain border, with partial letters visible toward the coin's edges due to the irregular striking surface. The overall appearance is typical of late-sixteenth to early-seventeenth century Ottoman akçe coinage, with a flat, unadorned field.
