| Obverse description | Confronted busts of the imperial couple facing one another: Philip I, laureate, draped and cuirassed, portrayed from the rear facing right, and Otacilia Severa, draped, facing left. The two effigies are juxtaposed at center, creating a symmetrical dynastic composition characteristic of Carian provincial issues. The surrounding field carries the imperial titulature legend in Greek characters. The portraiture follows the Antonine tradition of provincial bronze coinage, rendered in high relief. |
