| Beschrijving voorzijde | Corn-wreathed and draped bust of Kore Soteira, her features assimilated to those of Faustina II, facing right and adorned with a necklace. The legend ΚΟΡΗ ϹΩΤΕΙΡΑ ΚΥΖΙΚΗΝΩΝ runs around the periphery of the field, identifying the goddess in her syncretic local guise as protectress of Cyzicus. The portrait is rendered in the provincial Greek imperial style characteristic of the Cyzicene mint under Commodus, with fine drapery visible at the shoulder. The corn wreath, an attribute of Demeter-Kore, is prominent atop the head. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A circular domed or turreted building with a closed gate is depicted in elevation at the centre of the field, likely representing a prominent sanctuary or neokorate temple of Cyzicus. Atop the roof stand three statues of Demeter, each carrying torches, emphasising the city's close cultic ties to the goddess. Flanking the building on either side are two large torches entwined by serpents, further reinforcing the Eleusinian-Demeter iconographic programme. The legend ΚΥΖΙΚΗΝΩΝ ΝΕΟΚΟΡΩΝ encircles the design, proclaiming Cyzicus's prestigious status as a city holding the neokorate. The overall composition is ambitious in scale and detail, befitting this large provincial bronze medallion-type issue. |
