Alinda was a Carian hill-town whose coins are rare enough that individual magistrates' names — here Ar. Kor. Menippos — can be cross-referenced across a handful of surviving types. The city's association with Herakles on this issue is unsurprising given Carian civic religion, but the specific formula ΔΕΞΙΟΥΜΕΝΟΣ ΗΡΑΚΛΗΝ ΔΟΣΕΙ, referencing a reception or gift-giving scene with Herakles, appears on a very limited run of Alindean bronzes and is not attested in the broader Alabanda conventus with any frequency.
