正面描述	Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gordian III facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, displaying pauldron and scale armour detail. The emperor's youthful effigy is portrayed with characteristic short hair beneath a laurel wreath. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ Μ ΑΝΤ ΓΟΡΔΙΑΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ, distributed around the bust between a beaded inner border and the coin's edge. The flan is broad but irregular, typical of provincial bronze coinage struck in Lycia during the mid-third century AD.

附加信息	Patara was the principal city of Lycia and seat of the Lycian League's federal assembly, but its civic bronze issues under Gordian III also reflect something more immediate: the city's role as a major harbor and naval base, which gave it both the wealth and the administrative standing to strike large-denomination bronzes of this module. The Aulock Lykien reference corpus remains the standard for attributing these civic issues, and VII.2 #2180 is among the better-documented Pataran types of the reign.
