Europa is depicted with billowing drapery, her body turned slightly toward the viewer, grasping the bull's horn or drapery for support. The surrounding Greek legend, arranged in multiple lines and around the periphery, records the city name ΑΜΑϹΙΑϹ along with the civic titulature and the regnal year ϹΛΔ (year 234 of the Pontic era, corresponding to AD 231/232). |
