The two divine figures, representing the patron deities of Hierapolis and Pergamon respectively, are shown in a formal confronted composition symbolising the civic alliance between the two neocorate cities. The reverse legend in Greek is disposed around the field, proclaiming the concordia between the Hierapolitans and the Pergamenes.
