The youthful imperial effigy displays a prominent laurel wreath and long curling locks falling behind the neck, characteristic of the emperor's portraiture. The obverse legend runs around the periphery in Greek characters. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, typical of provincial bronze issues of the Severan period. |

A hound runs to the lower right, accompanying the goddess in the chase. The composition captures the dynamic energy of the divine huntress and reflects the Hellenistic artistic tradition maintained in Mytilenean civic coinage. The reverse legend, naming the local strategos responsible for the issue, is disposed around the field. |
