Beschrijving voorzijde Bare-headed, laureate and draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, with short beard rendered in fine detail consistent with provincial portraiture of the Antonine period. The emperor's effigy is depicted with characteristic wave-combed hair bound by a laurel wreath, the drapery visible at the truncation of the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan, framed by a dotted border. The portrait style reflects the local Ionian die-cutting tradition, with somewhat broad facial modelling and strong relief.

Beschrijving keerzijde Octastyle temple façade depicted in perspective, with eight columns surmounted by an entablature and pediment, the latter containing a globe or ornamental device at its apex. Within the intercolumniation stands the cult statue of Artemis Ephesia facing front, wearing a kalathos (polos) upon her head and flanked by lateral supports in the characteristic polymastos type. A crescent symbol appears to the left of the temple and a star to the right, emphasising the celestial associations of the goddess. The composition underscores Ephesus's proud status as a twice-neokoros city, honoured with the imperial cult.
