| Beschrijving keerzijde | An agonistic prize table depicted in three-quarter perspective, its legs elaborately carved, supports two inscribed stephane (wreath crowns) — one identified as the Gordianea and one as the Valeriana — referencing the civic games celebrated at Aphrodisias under these imperial names. Behind and rising above each crown, a tall palm branch is visible, the universal symbol of victory in athletic contests. The ethnic legend of the city, split across the field and below the table, identifies the issuing community. The composition is enclosed within a beaded border, and the magistrate's name appears in the peripheral legend. |
