The portrait exhibits the characteristic radiating crown associated with the imperial solar iconography of the mid-3rd century. The bold, high-relief modeling reflects provincial die-cutting traditions of the Samian mint under the Conventus of Miletus. The encircling legend identifies the emperor by his full titulature in Greek characters. |
